A day trip to Poshanu temple, Da Ong Dia beach, Fairy Stream, Red Sand Dunes and Fishing Village in Phan Thiet, Mui Ne!

Tháp Poshanu (Poshanu Towers)

Located about 7 kilometres NE from Phan Thiet City, Tháp Poshanu serves as a haven for those looking to immerse themselves in the history of this place and witness fine architecture. Built over 1,200 years ago, this area has a large temple that’s been buried underground for over 300 years!

At present, you’d find three main towers: small, medium, and the main tower. Upon getting inside the main tower, you’d be greeted by a stone altar of “Linga” & “Yoni” that’s said to be closely resembling the genitals of the male and female reproductive organs.

The best time to visit would be during Tháp Poshanu’s festival, where Tháp Poshanu would come alive with various activities where “rituals” are performed. But really, tourists from all over the world come to this place all year round.

Bãi tắm Đá Ông Địa (Da Ong Dia Beach)

The Bãi tắm Đá Ông Địa attracts a lot of tourists because of its beauty and white sand beach that stretches along palm trees down to the modern, high-rise buildings of Phan Thiet. Walk further and you can see the different rock formations with various tales of how it was formed.

This is the definitely beach to go to if you love seafood! Since right next to Bãi tắm Đá Ông Địa or Da Ong Dia Beach is where the famous seafood restaurant called “Cay Bang.” You can visit this very serene beach anytime with friends, family or your loved ones, but expect it to be fully packed by tourists and locals alike during peak season!

Suối Tiên (Fairy Stream)

Đồi Hồng (Red Sand Dunes)

Get ready to enter to step into a whole new environment when you get to the Red Sand Dunes or Đồi Hồng , which is also known as Sand Hill Bay. Depending on its color — which changes depending on certain factors — Đồi Hồng is sometimes called “Red Sand” or “Golden Sand” Hill. It’s a great place for avid photographers looking to capture the different colours of the sunset. Get your tripods ready!

Aside from photography, visitors can only enjoy sliding down the sand via a sled. Make sure to dress comfortably so the sand won’t get in places where you don’t want them to — or need them to. If you’ve only experience sledding down snow, this is a must-try for sure. Sledding down a desert hill, now that’s a once in a lifetime experience you best NOT miss! But if you do happen to miss this, then don’t worry, there’s another one. Read on…

Làng Chài Mũi Né (Fishing Village Mui Ne)

The Làng Chài Mũi Né is one busy place that’s not for the weary. The fishermen and merchants will go on their busy lives in the hustle and bustle of their normal morning routine. While this fishing village is a fishing market by day, it lets on a spectacular view of the ocean and the sunset when the day comes to an end. Creative photographers often enjoy this particular place during this time. The romantics at heart will surely swoon with its magnificent view of the shoreline and the waves as the sun goes down, giving way to the moonlight.

But really, this isn’t called a fishing village for no reason. If you’re particularly avid of fresh seafood, then you can have your different choices of crab, shrimp, fish, squid, etc. brought by the fishermen themselves. Talk about a fresh good catch!
